As a community, we find our identity, purpose, and mission through our faith in Jesus. What we believe can be summarized in the phrase: "the Gospel." We believe that this world was created by God, but humanity rebelled against Him, and now everyone is born into this rebellion. The Bible uses the word sin to describe this.
The good news or "Gospel" is that God loves everyone and sent Jesus to be our substitute and died in our place. This paid in full the sin debt we owe to God. Through Jesus' death and resurrection we can be brought back into a relationship with God! This changes our very identity as we become adopted into the family of God with all benefits. This is the greatest act of love the world has ever seen. We don't have to try to earn our way to heaven –in fact, it is impossible to do so. God has give us a tremendous free gift. We have a God who came to save us!
Our response to the Gospel is what will define us. As a church, we live out of gratitude and love for God's amazing gift, and we now live to share this love and good news with everyone.
