Pastor focusing on Youth, Young Adults, and Evangelism

Journey Church is a growing church plant in Thousand Oaks, CA (launched October 2016). Our leadership team is highly collaborative, and we are looking to add a driven self-starter who can spearhead our efforts to reach more people. We are not looking for a manager, but a builder who makes disciples.  There is flexibility in the scope of the position depending on the candidate. You would be our first additional full-time hire. Our lead pastor is a former youth pastor with a background in spiritual formation (Talbot ISF program). He is committed to working closely with and developing healthy leaders. Our culture is unique, so click around to see if you fit.  If this is you, we would love to have you apply!

To apply, email: with your resume.  Include your facebook & Instagram handle as well.

  • Catalyze a community of college/post college people.  We are not looking for a structured ministry, but an intentional community of people.

  • Be an evangelist that can lead others to develop their evangelistic opportunities.  Lead our community service opportunities in the valley and help train everyone in sharing the gospel.  We are a sending church, where we equip and develop everyone to live mission in their relational circles.  We aren’t looking for someone who knocks door-to-door, but whom has this gift and a firm grasp of the gospel.  This person raises the tide of evangelism in our church.

  • Humility, hunger, and emotional intelligence
