It is a privilege to have you worship and journey with us. We hope your faith will be strengthened and your interest in God’s Word will grow as a result of your time with us.  We do this through practical Bible teaching, singing worship and creating a host of opportunities for significant and supportive relationships. What Should I expect on Sunday?

FAQ:

Where are you located?

We are located at Boys & Girls Club of Conejo & Las Virgenes.  It is located at 1980 E. Avenida de Las Flores Thousand Oaks, Ca 91362.

We have a dedicated team of volunteers that arrive early and completely transform the building.  We use 3 spaces, one theater for Adults, 1 for our nursery & pre-school, and one for elementary aged children.  We set up our own speakers and sound system, lay down anti-microbial and foam flooring and temporary walls and toys for the babies, and have fantastic engaging environments for all-ages.

What are your services like?

Our worship service has a casual and informal atmosphere. You can expect that every week a pastor will open up and teach from the Bible.  We love hearing and sharing life stories of how God changes people.  We also have a time of singing worship songs which is live music and singing together.  Everything we do we encourage participation, but no one is expected to do anything or have any previous knowledge of church or the Bible.

What should I wear?

Come as you are. We are a casual church. You will find a range of dress styles from jeans and t-shirts, to shorts and flip-flops, to an occasional sport jacket and dress. So come dressed however you are comfortable and you will fit right in.

Do I need a Bible?

If you own a Bible you will want to bring it. Our pastors don’t preach sermons as much as they simply teach the Bible. They will refer to it often – and even encourage you to mark it up as your life-textbook. If you don’t have one, just ask one of the hosts or ushers, we have plenty set aside to borrow until you get one of your own.

Our pastors teach from what is known as the English Standard Version of the Bible (ESV). If you have another version you are used to or prefer, bring it along. The differences from version to version are mostly minor. Having an ESV will simply make it easier to follow along when our pastors read or point out the wording in a particular verse or passage.

Where do my children go?

We have engaging children's environments that are catered to each ages specific needs and interests.  We currently have a nursery, pre-school, early elementary, and upper elementary classrooms. All our classrooms are staffed with two or more loving, trained, and screened adults who are excited to meet your kids in a safe and secure environment.
